Restaurateur of the Quarter – Stuart Weisfeld

Meet our latest RESTAURATEUR OF THE QUARTER: Stuart Weisfeld, CEO of Lancer’s Family Restaurant, Burbank, CA

Stuart Weisfeld who recently purchased Lancer’s Family Restaurant in Burbank is our Restaurateur of the Quarter.  Stuart is the former owner and CEO of Worldwide Produce in Los Angeles.

He started the produce company in the early 1990’s and over the years, had tremendous success selling to restaurants throughout California and Las Vegas.

A little less than two years ago he sold the company with plans to retire.  However, after about a year and a half he found himself looking for a new project.

Stuart brings to the table an endless energy, enthusiasm, determination, and a profound business acumen. He is a man with vision, integrity, and a successful plan.  Before close of escrow, he could be found each morning at the restaurant with a variety of contractors eagerly planning the restaurant’s renovation. The moment escrow closed he hit the ground running.  So, not only is Stuart busy running the restaurant, greeting customers, and sharing with them the new décor, booth fabric etc., he is hard at work, executing his master plan of building on the history of this successful, high-volume restaurant, by taking it to the next level, while maintaining Lancer’s appeal, charm, and menu favorites.  No doubt he will accomplish that and more.

Lancer’s Family Restaurant is widely known as one of Burbank’s iconic restaurants. Its history spans over 60 years and its existence is considered essential to the community and the City of Burbank. Juan Garcia successfully ran the business for the past four and a half years and reached out to Restaurant Realty to assist with the sale when he realized it was time for a change.  Teri Craft, a Restaurant Realty Agent, dined with her family at the restaurant for decades and Teri put together the transaction realizing the importance of finding the right buyer to continue the Lancer’s legacy.

It was a pleasure working with Stuart and we wish him much success in his new endeavor!
