SOLD – Al’s Deli, San Francisco

JUST SOLD
AL’S DELI
San Francisco

Patrick Totah of Restaurant Realty Company recently sold AL’s Deli at the busy corner of 18th and Guererro in San Francisco.

The seller, Aaron London, owns the Michelin rated AL’s Place, also in San Francisco. In 2015 Steve Zimmerman of RRC sold the restaurant to Aaron which he developed into Al’s Place and it was voted the Number One Best New Restaurant in the United States by Bon Appetit Magazine. In 2019, Aaron opened AL’s Deli as a twist on the classic Jewish deli concept. Although the food at AL’s Deli was absolutely delicious, Aaron decided that his focus needs to remain on fine dining instead of quick-serve.

The new owners of the location are Tan Truong and Geoffrey Lee, veterans of the restaurant industry behind the Michelin rated omakase restaurants Ju-Ni and Hina Yakitori, both in San Francisco. They have exciting plans for the space at 18th and Guerrero, but for now, the specifics of the new concept remain a closely guarded secret. We’ll look forward to finding out what their next delicious creations entail sometime in the late summer of 2021.

RRC wishes best wishes to Aaron, Tan and Geoffrey for much continued success in their current and future restaurant ventures.
